What to Wear to an Interview

With our college years coming to and end it's time to start thinking about your work world wardrobe. But even before you land that dream job that is going to support your new work wardrobe you are going to have to go through an interview. What is the first thing that interviewer is going to judge you on even before you open your mouth to say hello? What you wearing of course! The first step to landing the dream job is finding the perfect interview outfit that says all the right things about you and your professional attitude. Don't wear anything to scandalous that shows to much skin. Avoid wearing shirts with a low neck line and if you have any tattoo make sure they are covered. A nice button down long sleeve shirt paired with a blazer and matching trousers is the perfect combination! Don't wear to much jewelry and especially don't wear any flashy or gaudy jewelry. The key is to keep it simple so the interviewer will focus more on you and not on how bad or unprofessional your outfit may be. Another thing to avoid is super high heels, you don't want to fall or wobble in front of the interviewer. Stick to flats or kitten heels that give you a more laid back look in the first place. Any skirt that is knee length or longer is appropriate in the work place, anything shorter and you will look unprofessional. If you want to think of a celebrity who dresses the way you should for an interview just think Kate Middleton. She is the picture of class and elegance, which is exactly the look you want to have when trying to land a job. It's time to stop buying clothes for partying in college and time to start buying clothes you can wear in the work place.
